The Story of the four mercenaries in Al-Falluja

By Willem Oltmans

The four mercenaries, who got killed in Al-Falluja and hunged on one of its bridges, were belonged to one of the lowest group of people in our world.  They were not contractors who came to rebuild Iraq, as they would like us to believe, they were Bush’s mercenaries and hired killers.  There are 15000 of those brutal killers in Iraq these days

Most of these “Soldiers of Fortune” are people who are unsuccessful in their lives and who at some stage of their lives worked in an army and enjoyed the killing of other people.  The French formed a unit of these sick people, the unit named the Foreign Legion.  In South Africa they recruit pure criminals who served in the Apartheid regime through special companies who send them to Iraq.  During my stay in Cape Town I saw advertisement in the papers to recruit people for these security companies.

The Iraqi uprising did not happen accidentally. The Iraqis know that the Americans, British and other Western countries have sent mercenaries and “hired killers” to administrate their country because the International Law and Geneva Convention do not apply to those people and nothing restricts their behaviour, add to that those mercenaries work with a high level of secrecy.

The Economist published an article titled “Baghdad Tree”, in the article the magazine talked about the boom in the market of recruitment agencies that recruit mercenaries to work in Iraq.  On the 27th of March the magazine mentioned that angry Iraqis attacked with stones six of those mercenaries who came from Fiji to Basra and worked for Global Risk Strategies which is based in London and from there sent those ignoble people.

The magazine added that currently the Private Military Companies occupy the third place after the biggest contributors to the American and British military efforts in Iraq.

Mercenary recruitment agencies achieved extra profits of $320 million dollars because of the increase in the demand for Iraqi market.  There is a saying, what may be a problem for some people can be a benefit for others, congratulations to Bush and Blair who are the head of these gangs.

On the 3rd of April an advertisement was published in the Herald Tribune by a company operating under the name Blackwater USA to recruit mercenaries, the company has facilities on 2.1 hectares to train mercenaries, former Army Rangers and former Navy Seals before sending them to Iraq.

In February Blackwater USA (http://blackwatersecurity.com/ ) started training former commandos who served under the former Chilean dictator Pinochet before sending them to Iraq.  We want to ask, who is going to be the next?

The American army had 2.1 million servicemen in 1989, the number has reduced to 1.4 million in 2004, the private security companies have restructured to covers this gap.
