Summary of the Iraqi Resistance Activities

From 26/12 to 1/1/2005

In the name of God most merciful most compassionate

The Occupation Forces’ Losses:

During the period from 26/12 to 1/1/2005, the Supreme Command of the Resistance and Liberation Forces has issued ten military communiqués on their redemptive operations and daily clashes against the occupation forces, their mercenaries and their collaborators throughout the entire provinces of Iraq, where the enemies’ losses were summed up as follows:

  • 187 killed.
  • 252 injured.
  • 17 tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed.
  • 5 oilfields were set ablaze.
  • 48 various vehicles were destroyed.

The Supreme Command of the Resistance and Liberation Forces Stressed the Following:

1.      The Ba’ath and the Resistance Leadership affirm that there will be no talks or dialogues with the occupation forces  and their agents, except the dialogue of guns and bombs, and that the Ba’ath Leadership in captivity symbolized by the freedom-fighter leader: Saddam Hussein, the President of the Iraqi Republic and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Iraqi Forces, is the Decision-Maker and the only authority to which anyone should go to find the response.

2.      The immoral treatment on the part of the International Committee of the Red Cross of the leader: Saddam Hussein in his captivity during the recent period, prompts us to question the credibility of the ICRC, and warn them of the consequences of continuing such prejudiced and partial acts towards the occupation. We urge this organization to act in a responsible way and rectify their acts and commit itself to its humanitarian responsibility stipulated in the Geneva Conventions in 1949, and to fulfill all the Red Cross/ Red Crescent principles, specially Neutrality, and to provide aid and protection to all POWs with no discrimination, protecting the law and its noble goals.

3.      The Supreme Command of the Resistance and Liberation Movement praises the brave sons of Iraq who refused and still refuse joining the so-called national guard and police forces, and the hundreds of Iraqis who tender their resignation every day from these authorities that serve the occupation forces and their agents. The Supreme Command reaffirms that these authorities are considered an integral part of the occupation forces and subsequently they are placed at the resistance target’s top priority like any of the other puppet government’s authorities.

Epics and Scenes of the Redemption Action in Iraq:

The Commander of the American forces in Sa’marra has been killed in a bomb explosion:

Correspondents reported in Sa’marra that a bomb was exploded at an American military line on Thursday at 12.00 noon, killing the Commander of the American force in Sa’marra according to eye-witnesses accounts. The correspondents added that what prompted the local citizens to believe that the Commander of the US forces in Sa’marra was killed, is that the armored vehicle he was onboard was heavily guarded and accompanied by a helicopter as an air cover. Additionally, news was revealed that he would come to the city that day to attend a conference summoned by the so-called national guard and the Iraqi police forces to reconcile between the tribe chiefs and the American forces to abandon violence. The US Commander was to preside the conference as stated by an Iraqi officer. The bomb was planted on a roadside and exploded at the Commander’s vehicle- as it passed by- which was heading towards the Headquarter of Youth Center where the conference was supposed to be held.

What draws many people’s attention is the unfamiliar manner of the rescue operation in the wake of the explosion, where American GMC Red Cross ambulances rushed to the scene supported by a number of Black Hawk helicopters, and the area was heavily surrounded.

The latest report from the Strategic and International Studies Center in Washington indicates that as America fails in Vietnam, it will also fail in Iraq, and the status quo is worsening and becoming more dangerous and complicated:

“The United States has to be prepared for more serious and ferocious attacks in Iraq”

This is what has recently been reported by the American Strategic and International Studies Center, reiterating what had happened in Vietnam, if the United States failed to produce a fair assessment of the true state of affairs in Iraq.

The report said “the spokesmen inside the White House seem to live in an illusion when they relate their stories on the events in Iraq”. The report- which was edited by an ex-high-ranked official at the Pentagon, Antony Kordizman- said “the Iraqi spies are major threat to the American operations, and there is no evidence to believe that the number of militants had declined, despite the American counter attacks”.

Kordizman indicated that, following the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, the United States assumed that it deals with a limited number of armed men who will be defeated by the coalition forces before the elections, to elect new Iraqi government.

Kordizman added “the United States did not see how dangerous the situation might appear, if it couldn’t find jobs for the Iraqis or pay the salaries to the regular Iraqi officers or employ them in the reconstruction projects in the country”.

Kordizman said that Washington failed in the first year of the occupation to crush the Iraqi militants by all measures.

The report accused the United States of underestimating the Iraqi militants, and the scale of the danger of crimes in Iraq and the exaggerated support of the Iraqi public to the American and the coalition’s efforts.

In a nutshell, the report said “Washington failed to produce any notable fair assessment of the true state of affairs in Iraq as in Vietnam”.

The report went on to say “those who sympathize with the resistance armed men within the Iraqi government and among individuals in the Iraqi armed forces, in addition to the Iraqis who work with the coalition forces, the media and the NGOs, very often become an excellent source of information for the resistance on the American and the coalition operations without actively participating in the war”.
