Summary of the Iraqi Resistance Activities

From 15 to 21 August  2004

In the name of God most merciful most compassionate

The Supreme Command of the Resistance and Liberation Forces has issued nine military communiqués during the period from 15 to 21 August 2004 which summed up the losses inflicted on the occupation forces, their mercenaries and their collaborators. Some of the communiqués have indicated the resistance’s views and stands regarding what is currently happening in Iraq and the repercussions on the Arab and international scenes, among those views and stands are as follows:

1.      Praising the great people of Iraq who dropped the stakes of the occupation forces and their collaborators, members of the so-called national council who- after their decisive defeat- turned into an extended governing council for the choir of collaborating parties who were brought along side with the American tanks, while everyone who possesses an atom of honorable citizenship pulled back.

2.      The decision of all the resistance’s factions- with no exceptions- to support Almahdi Army and protect the holy shrines in Najaf , and the call to physically liquidate the American and Zionist agents especially in Najaf.

3.      The United States of America with its knowledge and the collusions of Iran, the call party and the house of Hakiem and Sestani, decided to liquidate H.O: Muqtada Assadre and disband Almahdi Army for certain considerations following the government of the agent Allawi, as a step followed by similar steps in Fallujah, Sa`mara, Baquba, Tikrit, Aldor etc.. which is part of an extensive operation to suppress all forces rejecting the occupation’s presence in Iraq.

4.      The decision to liquidate H.O: Muqtada Assadre and his party was issued beforehand by the leadership of the occupation forces, and there is no real influence or value for the negotiation team to settle the dispute, the statements or the farces which were viewed on the satellite screens inasmuch as they represent a shameful cover  to justify the ongoing military action. The communiqués declared that the resistance forces do not count on the negotiation processes with the occupation government, for the decision isn’t really in their hands, and urged the people of Iraq to resist and fight the occupation forces.

We hereunder summarize the losses inflicted on the occupation forces, their mercenaries and their collaborators during the above stated period as follows:

On 15/8/2004

26 killed and 48 injured in addition to the shooting down of one helicopter at Fallujah and the destruction of 3 tanks and 9 various military and police vehicles during today’s clashes and redemptive operations in: Baghdad, Najaf, Sa`mara, Karkouk, Basra, Fallujah, Mosul, Tikrit etc.

On 16/8/2004

19 killed and 36 injured in addition to the destruction of 2 tanks and 8 various military and police vehicles during today’s clashes and operations in: Baghdad, Najaf, Kut, Baquba, Fallujah, Sa`mara, Mosul, Basra etc.

On 17/8/2004

33 killed and 46 injured in addition to the shooting down of one unmanned reconnaissance plane at Baghdad and the destruction of 3 tanks and 11 various military and police vehicles during today’s clashes and operations against the occupation forces, their mercenaries and their collaborators in: Baghdad, Najaf, Fallujah, Sa`mara, Basra, Alnasiriya, Al-Amara, Tikrit, Aldor, Baquba etc.

On 18/8/2004

45 killed and 65 injured in addition to the destruction of 4 tanks, 12 various military and police vehicles and a depot in a camp for the British army in Basra which was exposed to an extensive shelling during today’s clashes and operations in: Najaf, Baghdad, Baquba, Basra, Fallujah, Tikrit, Kut, Babel etc.

On 19/8/2004

29 killed and 45 injured in addition to the destruction of 2 tanks, 7 various military and police vehicles as well as the bombing of an oilfield in Basra and an oil pipeline during today’s clashes and operations in: Baghdad, Fallujah, Baquba, Najaf, Basra, Sa`mara, Mosul, Tikrit, Alqa`em etc.

On 20/8/2004

55 killed and 76 injured in addition to the destruction of 8 tanks in Najaf, Basra and Sa`mara, besides, the destruction of 17 various military and police vehicles as well as setting ablaze a premise for the south oil company and the main oil pipeline between Karkouk and Bhiji. Today’s clashes and redemptive operations were carried out in: Baghdad, Najaf, Fallujah, Basra, Karkouk, Baquba, Mosul, Sa`mara etc.

On 21/8/2004

26 killed and 33 injured in addition to the destruction of 4 tanks and 6 various military and police vehicles during today’s clashes and redemptive operations in: Baghdad, Fallujah, Najaf, Alnasiriya, Karkouk, Basra, Sa`mara, Mosul etc.
