Puppet police report shooting would-be bomber in al-Khalidiyah.

 

In a dispatch posted at 4:13pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the puppet police in al-Khalidiyah, 80km west of Baghdad shot and killed a man they said was wearing an explosive vest and planning to blow himself up by the local puppet police station at noon Thursday.

 

Yaqen reported that an officer in the puppet police announced that puppet policemen ordered the individual who was approaching the headquarters to stop.  When he failed to obey their commands, they shot and killed him on the spot.  It was then found that he was wearing an explosive vest.

Resistance fighters shoot down unmanned US spy plane near al-Hadithah.

 

In a dispatch posted at 2:05pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that Iraqi Resistance ground fire brought down an unmanned US spy plane near al-Hadithah, 270km northwest of Baghdad, on Thursday morning.

 

Yaqen reported eyewitnesses as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fighter had used a sniper weapon to shoot down a small remote-control reconnaissance airplane.  After the plane went down the camera in the aircraft was taken out and the rest of the wreckage was destroyed.

 

The witnesses said that the Resistance fighters members of the Uthman ibn Affan Brigade Resistance group filmed the downing of the spy plane, and said that they would make it available on the Internet and on CDs.

Bomb explodes by US patrol near Baghdads al-Ghadir Bridge Thursday.

 

In a dispatch posted at 8:15pm Baghdad time Thursday night, the Yaqen News Agency reported that a bomb exploded by a US patrol near the al-Ghadir Bridge in eastern Baghdad.

 

Yaqen reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the blast wounded two Iraqi people but that the Americans had not allowed any information about US casualties to leak out.  As of the time of reporting, the Americans had made no statement regarding the attack.

 

In a separate incident, another bomb went off in the southeastern Baghdad district of az-Zafaraniyah, wounding one person.  The puppet police source offered no further information regarding that attack.

 

Sectarian murder spree continues: three more bodies found dumped around Baghdad Thursday.

 

In a dispatch posted at 7pm Baghdad time Thursday night, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the puppet police recovered the bodies of three more victims of sectarian murder that had been dumped in various parts of Baghdad in the previous 24 hours.

 

Yaqen reported a source in the puppet police as saying that two of the bodies were found in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah and the third in the al-Amil neighborhood in the east of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 4:26pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that a bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol as it passed through the al-Karradah neighborhood of central Baghdad Thursday morning.

 

Yaqen reported a source in the puppet regime as saying that the bomb, planted by the main road in al-Karradah, killed two puppet policemen and wounded three more of them in addition to damaging a patrol vehicle.

In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Yaqen News Agency reported that a bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in Baghdad at 8:30am Thursday morning.

 

Yaqen reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the blast, on al-Andalus Square, killed two puppet policemen and severely wounded a third.  The bomb also destroyed a patrol vehicle and inflicted material damage on a number of buildings and shops nearby.

Bomb destroys US military vehicle near Samarra; Americans respond by killing local civilian.

 

In a dispatch posted at 7:15pm Baghdad time Thursday night, the Yaqen News Agency reported that a bomb exploded by US forces at a junction on the highway in the Samarra area, 120km north of Baghdad on Thursday afternoon.

 

Yaqen reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast totally destroyed an American military vehicle, killing several US troops.  The Americans responded to the attack by surrounding the area and shooting indiscriminately at passers by, killing one Iraqi civilian and wounding a second.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

 

US troops carry out mass raids, arrests near al-Miqdadiyah Thursday evening.

 

In a dispatch posted at 8:45pm Baghdad time Thursday night, the Yaqen News Agency reported that US forces carried out mass raids and searches northwest of al-Miqdadiyah (85km northeast of Baghdad) in the al-Bazul area and surrounding villages on Thursday evening.

 

Yaqen reported a source in the puppet regime security forces who asked not to be identified as saying that the Americans closed off the area and then proceeded to arrest a number of innocent local residents.

Resistance group blows up US Humvee near al-Mawsil in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

 

In a dispatch posted at 2:57pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the Brigades of the 1920 Revolution Iraqi Resistance organization had issued a communiqu in which it reported that its fighters had blown up a US Humvee in the al-Mawsil area.

 

Yaqen reported the communiqu as saying that the attack was carried out in solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Gaza, Palestine, under a tight blockade by Zionist forces.  The communiqu reported that the attack killed or wounded the Americans aboard the Humvee.

 

Bomber kills puppet police chief of Ninwa Province on visit to scene of Wednesday bombing.

 

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Yaqen News Agency reported that a man wearing an explosive vest blew himself up near Brigadier General Salih Hasan, the puppet police chief for Ninwa Province, as the general was inspecting the site on al-Bibsi Street in the district of az-Zanjili where 36 people were killed and 169 wounded in a bombing on Wednesday afternoon.

 

Yaqen reported Major General Riyad Jalal Tawfiq, the operations commander of the puppet army in Ninwa Province as saying that General Hasan, wounded in the Thursday morning explosion, later died of his inuries.  Also killed in the blast was an aide accompanying Hasan.

 

Initial reports said that General Hasan had been taken to al-Mawsil General Hospital for first aid, but he later died of his wounds.

 

Bomb explodes in al-Mawsils al-Bursah section.

 

In a dispatch posted at 11am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Yaqen News Agency reported that a bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet police in the al-Bursah section of al-Mawsil, 420km northwest of Baghdad on Thursday.

 

Yaqen reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the explosives-packed car blew up in the al-Bursah area in the Bab Sinjar district of the city, near the az-Zanjili area where a car bombing killed or wounded 205 people on Wednesday afternoon.  No information on the nature or extent of the blast in al-Bursah was immediately available. 

 

Ban on motor traffic imposed on al-Mawsil starting at noon Thursday.

 

In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Yaqen News Agency reported that Durayd Kashmulah, the puppet Governor of Ninwa Province, had imposed a ban on vehicular traffic in the city of al-Mawsil, 420km northwest of Baghdad starting at 12 noon Thursday and lasting until further notice.

 

Yaqen reported Kashmulah as announcing that the reason for the ban was a precautionary security measure, since there was information that armed groups were planning to attack puppet regime security headquarters in the city.

 

The ban came in the wake of a car bombing in the az-Zanjaliyah area of al-Mawsil that left 205 people dead or injured.

Katyusha rocket barrage fired at British headquarters in al-Basrah.

                                               

In a dispatch posted at 4:42pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the British occupation forces headquarters at al-Basrah International Airport came under Katyusha rocket bombardment.

 

Yaqen reported a press spokesman for the British as saying that rockets landed near their headquarters but offered no further details.
